Pyth Price Feeds Launch on BitTorrent Chain

Today, we're excited to reveal the launch of Pyth Price Feeds on BitTorrent Chain. BitTorrent Chain is an EVM compatible blockchain and offers the same smooth development experience as Ethereum but with greater speed.

Smart contract developers on BitTorrent now have permissionless access to over 400 real-time price feeds for digital assets, foreign exchange pairs, commodities, equities, and ETFs.

“We are delighted to announce the integration of Pyth oracle feeds into BitTorrent," said Abhimanyu Bansal, Head of Partnerships at Douro Labs. "This exciting development is expected to ignite the growth of DeFi and spur innovations on the BitTorrent protocol.”

BitTorrent Chain

BitTorrent Chain is a next-generation heterogeneous cross-chain interoperability protocol supporting smart contract extension through sidechains.

At present, BitTorrent Chain supports asset interoperability between Ethereum/TRON/BSC and BitTorrent Chain to realize value exchange between blockchains. The underlying protocol adopts a POS mechanism, which speeds up transactions with an average block time between 2 to 3 seconds. Every transaction is safeguarded with proven security of the mainchain and multi-node validation; ultra-low transaction fees (<$0.01 on average) eliminate the headache of having to pay exorbitant transaction fees.
