The Pyth Network Retrospective Airdrop is a wide-reaching cross-chain program covering over 90,000 wallets across 27 chains. Pyth Network community members who contributed to the ecosystem and individual users of applications using Pyth data are among those who are eligible for the program.
If you have not done so already, you can check your eligibility here. You will also be able to claim your allocation in this same page once the Claim Process is open. This blog post offers a quick guide to the Pyth Network Retrospective Airdrop Claim Process.
We highly recommend that readers exercise caution to protect themselves from scams and fraudulent actors. You are responsible for verifying that all Pyth Network official webpages you visit are under the pyth.network domain.
The Airdrop Claim Process will open on November 20, 2023 at 6 PM UTC and will be live until February 20, 2024 at 6 PM UTC.
Step 1: Welcome Screen
Before starting the Claim Process, you can consult the Eligibility and Distribution blog post to check whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
When you are ready, you can start the Claim Process by proceeding to airdrop.pyth.network. Please read the Disclaimer and follow the terms and conditions stated in the webpage.
Step 2: Review Airdrop Eligibility
You will be prompted to check a number of boxes depending on which blockchain ecosystems you have been active in and whether you are an active member of the official Pyth Network Discord.
Check the ecosystems you are active in. Select the Pyth Discord checkbox if relevant.
You will need to connect the relevant wallets for each ecosystem selected. You will also need to log in to your Discord if you select this option.
Please be careful of phishing sites and verify that you are using the official Airdrop Claim Page.
Step 3: Verify Eligibility
In this step, you will be presented with a list of blockchain ecosystems. The ecosystems you selected in the previous step will be highlighted. You can connect your wallets for the highlighted ecosystems. You can connect your Discord account if this category was selected too.
Connect your wallets for each selected ecosystem. Log in to your Discord account if relevant. The amount of tokens you are eligible for each category will be displayed per connected wallet or account.
You can go back to Step 2 (”Review Airdrop Eligibility”) if you need to add or remove an ecosystem or the Discord category. You will not be able to proceed until all highlighted wallets and your Discord account (if relevant) are connected.
Step 4: Log in with Solana
If you already connected a Solana wallet in Step 3, then this still will display that connected wallet. Your claimed PYTH Tokens will go to this Solana wallet.
If you do not own a Solana wallet, the Claim Page can walk you through the creation of a new Solana wallet and offer a few popular wallets to choose from.
You will not need SOL (”dust”) in your wallet to be able to receive your allocation.
Step 5: Claim Tokens
In this step, you will be presented again with a list of blockchain ecosystems. The ecosystems you successfully connected your wallets for will be highlighted.
You will need to sign your wallets to claim your allocation. Click the “sign” button for each wallet.
Your wallet(s) will ask if you wish to sign the transaction. Confirm by clicking “sign” in your wallet’s pop-up window.
(Note: There will not be a “sign” button for the Solana ecosystem and Discord).
When you sign the transactions to claim your allocation, the required gas for the transaction will be funded. Although you will not receive dust in your wallet, you will not need to pay to receive your allocation.
After signing your wallets, you can click “proceed”. Another pop-up will appear confirming that you have connected all the necessary wallets and or your Discord account and that you wish to proceed to the final step.
Click “proceed” in this pop-up when you are ready. Your Solana wallet will then ask you to sign a final transaction. After signing on your Solana wallet, the PYTH Tokens will be sent to your Solana wallet. You cannot go back after proceeding from this step.
Please be patient as the blockchain processes your transaction. You may need to wait for a confirmation notification. If the wallet is taking too long to process or you get a failure message, this may be an RPC error. In this case, there is no need for concern. You can try reloading the Claim Page if you are stuck or exit the page and try again later.
Step 6: Next Steps
At this stage, you will have received your allocation in your connected Solana wallet. You can share your experience with the world. You can also repeat the Claim Process.
