Introducing Fogo Flames: From the Fastest L1 in History—Powered by Pyth

Ready to turn up the heat?

Today, Fogo, an SVM L1 built for the most serious on-chain traders, is launching Fogo Flames—a new points program designed for community members who want to stack flames, climb the ranks, and drive real impact as a contributor.

Here, we’ll dive into what Fogo is, how to start stacking Flames, and how Pyth Network is a core component of the fastest L1 in blockchain history.

What is Fogo?

It’s impossible to ignore the fact that there’s still a huge performance gap between DeFi and TradFi. Since top traders and institutions prioritize performance above all else, they’ve hesitated to embrace decentralized systems. As a result, DeFi is still sitting on the sidelines, lagging behind the rest of the finance industry in speed and user adoption.

Fogo is here to close that gap.

By using the Firedancer client in its purest form, Fogo can deliver real-time experiences at unprecedented scale in the blockchain world. The system's core innovations include multi-local consensus, optimized client performance, and streamlined validator set management. This technical foundation supports Fogo's mission: bringing institutional-grade finance on-chain by uniting TradFi performance with decentralized infrastructure. It’s also dedicated to laying the foundation for the future of dApps and building the strongest community in the game—crucial steps in making the next generation of finance available to as many participants as possible.

The Pyth price layer provides secure price data across all major blockchain ecosystems, and Pyth Price Feeds will be integrated directly into Fogo to deliver real-time, native market data to builders. Additionally, Ambient Finance will power the platform's enshrined DEX, creating a unified trading experience that seamlessly connects execution, price, and settlement layers. The Fogo Flames program build on these foundations and is designed for a community ready to drive the next phase of DeFi.

What is the Fogo Flames Program?

Here’s how the Fogo Flames Program Works:

At the end of each week, Flame distributions are calculated and awarded, which accumulate over time as part of a user’s total score which will be displayed on a community leaderboard.

Here are the categories you can participate in to earn your Flames:

  1. Pyth Network - Oracle Integrity Staking: Stake PYTH tokens through Oracle Integrity Staking
  2. Ambient Finance: Trade tokens or deposit them to an LP vault
  3. Fogo Discord: Hold a role in the Fogo Discord
  4. Fogo Twitter: Share and engage with content from the Fogo main account

What is Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS)?

OIS is the Pyth Network’s mechanism for holding data publishers accountable and rewarding them for contributing the most accurate data—all while empowering the community to make DeFi more secure. Publishers stake PYTH tokens to earn rewards, and they risk slashing penalties if they submit faulty data. Meanwhile, anyone can also stake their PYTH towards publishers, helping boost the network’s level of security. Decentralized rewards (or slashing penalties) are programmatically distributed between publishers and stakers.

This means every Pyth price feed—even the most specialized ones—has economic incentives behind it to provide accurate, reliable data. This represents a significant advancement in creating a safer, smarter, and more resilient DeFi ecosystem.

To date, over 639M PYTH have been staked to OIS. By staking your PYTH here, you can help protect DeFi while stacking Fogo Flames.

Get Started!

Ready to start getting Flames? Here’s everything you need:

Be sure you stake to OIS, not (just) Pyth Governance. If you’ve staked PYTH in the past—before the launch of OIS—those tokens are staked to Pyth Governance. You can stake these tokens to OIS from the Pyth Staking Dashboard without unstaking from governance or withdrawing them altogether.

The Pyth Community is excited for you to help fuel the fire and join the movement!
